Biodiesel Failing Emissions Tests

Biofuels are required to emit fewer greenhouse gases than conventional fuels under Congressional mandate. Biodiesel in particular is required to reduce emissions by 40% to 50%.
Unfortunately, the US Environmental Protection Agency says that biodiesel made from soybeans reduces emissions by only 22%. This could be a large step back for the biodiesel industry, causing many to seek a lowering in the emission reduction threshold. The success of biodiesel may rely on this.
